Hard polyester straps (PET) are becoming a more and more popular alternative to steel straps. High durability and an attractive price are factors which make PET become an increasingly larger part of the market in heavy load wrapping. One of the biggest advantages of those straps is undoubtedly that they are easier and safer to use than steel straps. PET straps can be joined by two methods:
sealless method, with the use of VIBRO or ST-BETW welding tools
seal method, with the use of manual PPX strapping tools and SCX tin seals.
There’s also a possibility of using PET straps in automatic strapping tools.
